A Free Beach for Everyone

“SpiaggiaLiberaTutti” project

From 16 June to 8 September 2025, “Spiaggia libera tutti!” (Free beach for everyone!) is available daily from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.  free of charge with a range of services, activities and events.
Anyone can enjoy the spaces of the free beach in Piazzale Boscovich, a stone's throw from the Ferris wheel. The innovative and inclusive project is designed to guarantee access to the sea for all people, with particular attention to those with motor, sensory or cognitive disabilities.

The beach is equipped with wide walkways down to the shoreline, gazebos on bookable platforms (reserved for people with disabilities), hot showers, accessible toilets and beach chairs to facilitate entry into the water. Use is easy and intuitive, also thanks to tactile paths and maps, different colours according to function, and pictograms in the Arasaac language. A team of operators is always present, ready to provide assistance.

For people with disabilities and high support needs, there are 16 shaded and pedestrianised gazebos, which can be booked by the operator via website, app and telephone. In addition to a series of special aids: two Solemar chairs, two Job sea chairs, a Sofao wheelchair for diving, and an electric hoist, there are also four other gazebos, two dedicated to hosting activities and meals, and two others, pink in colour, designed as a “calm space” for more sensitive users, such as people with cognitive disabilities and autism, with two soft chairs and a bubble tube that emits light and sound.

Managing the “SpiaggiaLiberaTutti” project for this first summer is the non-profit social cooperative “Amici di Gigi”, the leader of a group that includes the Nautical Club of Rimini, Soc. Sportiva Dilettantistica RiminiUp, Cooperativa sociale Service Web, Inopera Impresa sociale, Cooperativa Bagnini Rimini sud and The Beach Srl.
