The Philharmonia Orchestra is entrusted to young talents, Finnish conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali and pianist Bruce Liu, the 28-year-old winner of the 2021 Chopin Competition in Warsaw. The concert is entirely dedicated to the two greatest Russian composers, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky. It opens with Tchaikovsky, who was enamoured with the folklore of our country, honoured in the stunning colourful effects of Capriccio Italiano, followed by Piano Concerto No. 2.
