The Monteverdi Choir & Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado, presents a choral programme featuring Mozart's Requiem, the masterpiece of sacred music of all time. The programme includes Bach's Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied, followed by Schubert's Symphony No. 5. The concert will conclude with an extraordinary performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem in D minor, K. 626, the last and most moving artistic testimony of the Salzburg genius. Under the expert direction of maestro Heras-Casado, an exceptional vocal cast will take to the stage: soprano Louise Alder, mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, tenor Laurence Kilsby and bass William Thomas. As part of the Parole per la musica (Words for Music) series, on Saturday 20 September at 9 pm at the Teatro Galli, there will be a listening guide in preparation for the event: Mozart's Requiem, curated by Alberto Batisti. Free admission without reservation: Requiem, di Mozart.
