As part of the Sagra Malatestiana, the music festival dedicated to new sounds, ‘Percuotere la mente’ (Striking the Mind), offers concerts and special events from June to October at the Corte degli Agostiniani, Galli Theatre and Teatro degli Atti.
The venue at the Galli Theatre welcomes a name that marked the music of the 1980s, prominently featured in Tondelli's playlist: Midge Ure, ‘the voice of Ultravox’, a band that influenced electronic and new romantic music with hits such as Vienna and Dancing With Tears in My Eyes.
Midge Ure is a multi-award-winning artist with awards such as the Ivor Novello, Grammy and BASCAP, as well as gold and platinum records. After leaving Ultravox, Ure continued to experiment with new sounds. In 2023, he celebrated his 70th birthday with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Midge Ure will take to the stage accompanied by an exceptional band featuring Russell Field (drums and percussion), Cole Stacey (bass and vocals) and Charlie Round Turner (keyboards).
